2019 Nobel Prize Concert
Herbert Blomstedt is one of the world’s pre-eminent conductors, and Sweden's most foremost conductor of all time. He has served as chief conductor of many excellent orchestras, among them Dresden Staatskapelle, San Francisco Symphony Orchestra and Gewandhausorchester Leipzig. Since his debut at Konserthuset Stockholm in 1954 he has conducted the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra more than 200 times.

Violinist Lisa Batiashvili was the soloist at the 2018 Nobel Prize Concert. Conductor Karina Canellakis led the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra in a programme comprising Ann-Sofi Söderqvist's Movements, Pyotr Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D major op 35 and Symphony No 4 in f minor op 36.
